Jumuiya ya Vijana na Elimu Kaskazini ‘A’ (JUVIEKA), known in English as the District Youth and Education Association, is a non-profit youth-led organization established in 2011 and based in North ‘A’ District, Zanzibar. We are legally registered under Society Act No. 6 of 1995 with registration number Z0000115268.
We engage young people, women and communities in education, development, gender equality, early childhood care, and climate action initiatives across Unguja.

Over the years, JUVIEKA has touched thousands of lives across Zanzibar through education, leadership, peace building, and community empowerment programs.

Youths sensitized on the Zanzibar Youth Development Policy 2005, creating awareness and active participation in governance.
Organized youth groups and networks engaging in policy participation, peace sustainability, and leadership development.
And many more milestones including climate action initiatives, women empowerment programs, and strong community partnerships.
JUVIEKA is committed to implementing long-term strategic projects that will empower youth, promote education, and safeguard vulnerable communities across Zanzibar. These projects reflect our vision for a stronger and more inclusive society.
A modern centre in North Region Unguja that will serve as a hub for training, innovation, youth leadership development, and community empowerment activities.
Planned Completion: 2025A dedicated fund to support vulnerable children with school fees, learning materials, and scholarships, ensuring equal access to quality education.
Planned Launch: 2026Mobilizing stakeholders and investors to provide health insurance cards for vulnerable children, enabling access to healthcare and exemption from medical costs.
